Application Form
ETIAS application form will include several questionnaires, and you will need only 15 minutes to complete them. The questions will cover the topics such as your personal information, medical, travel, employment, and criminal history.
Brazil - EU Visa Free Travel
In 2010 Brazil and the EU agreed on the terms of reciprocal visa-free travel. From November 2025, Brazilian citizens will be eligible to apply for the ETIAS travel authorization to visit Europe for up to 90 days.
Biometric Passport
Biometric Passport is a type of travel document with an embedded microchip that contains your biometric information. It provides better safety and security for a traveler and the traveling document itself.
From 2010 Brazilian Government issues Biometric Passports for Brazilian citizens. Make sure that you have a Biometric Passport before applying for ETIAS authorization.
What Will ETIAS Change?
By launching the ETIAS, the EU intends to increase its flexibility and readiness against external threats and improve the traveler’s experience by providing a flexible application process and reduced border checking time.
It’s estimated that ETIAS will have a 95% of approval rate, and it will reduce the border checking time by 40%.

How to apply for ETIAS from Brazil?
Applying for an ETIAS visa waiver from Brazil is an effortless procedure and will take you only 15 minutes. All you need to do is to fill out the application form and submit it alongside your biometric passport.
Once the system verifies the correctness of your information, you will get your ETIAS authorization to visit Europe for three years, up to 90 days uninterruptedly.
Documents required for application to ETIAS
Application for ETIAS requires a valid biometric passport. In case of incorrect submission of the requested documentation, the applicant will receive a refusal and information about the need for additional documentation. In rare instances in which the submitted documentation does not confirm the accuracy of the information, the consulate may interview the applicant.
Brazilian citizens should be aware that ETIAS does not guarantee entry to Schengen countries for Brazilians. However, it does give the traveler permission to travel to Europe. Schengen immigration authorities can request additional supporting documents upon arrival at the border, including:
- Proof of financial resources;
- Proof of medical travel insurance;
- Proof of medical travel insurance;
Other Documents
Even though the ETIAS allows you to visit Europe visa-free, it doesn’t guarantee entry within the EU/Schengen Area.
The border control officer might ask you for additional documentation, such as:
- Round-Trip Plane Ticket
- Sufficient Funds for the Trip
- Medical Insurance
